How to Beat the Sunday Scaries, My Thoughts and Why I’m Facing These Right Now!

In this blog post, I talk about how to beat the Sunday Scaries, and tell you what is currently going on in my office that is causing me to experience these at the current moment, albeit they came much later in the day today than they typically do on Sundays, or at least than they did last Sunday (last Sunday they were there as soon as I woke up because I had such a stressful work week ahead.) The Sunday Scaries, if you have not heard of these, are basically that sense of dread and anxiety that start to show up around the afternoon time on Sunday that basically are telling your body to go into a mild state of fight or flight mode since an entire five day work week is coming up tomorrow. This is in contrary to the typical weekend How to Beat the Sunday Scarieseuphoria that usually manifests when you leave the office on Friday, or when you are out drinking on a Friday night and you feel like you have all the time in the world.

How to Beat the Sunday Scaries, Going on the Offensive Can Help!

So, the reason that I am starting to have this feeling, is because the work day is quickly approaching and because I’ll soon be sitting at my work desk at the bright and early crack of dawn that is 730AM tomorrow, in order to try and get ahead on everything.

Among the things on my plate right now are a conference call that I need to start getting prepared for tonight, several accounts that I need to have opened by morning, a pile of backlogged crap that I am going to have to bring up sooner or later, a task list that is starting to become so full it is ridiculous, and a bunch of other things.

I also have my COVID-19 vaccine scheduled for this Wednesday at 5PM, and actually have a day off this week at least on paper to recover from this shot, I am really not looking forward to potentially having a scheduled fever this Thursday, and I’m hearing that this second shot is going to knock me on my ass. The first one left me fatigued and with an injured left arm for several days, so I’m not optimistic about what this one is going to be like.
