In a year or two at the current pace on the channel, I can be making $200 to $500 per month in ad revenue by the end of the year, and even with just casual video posting (say 1 a day) over a 5 year time frame, this Youtube channel should yield me something like $4,000 to $5,000 per month in lifetime income. Now I am by no means a Youtube expert, how I will say that I am a very functional Youtuber, and that I have a decent amount of experience getting monthly traffic on a regular basis, to channels in the gaming niche, and powerpoint Youtube videos in the TV show and health niche markets. I have gotten Youtube channels up to several hundred subscribers before, which is all you need to really start generating passive income on Youtube, that had over 10,000+ views per month. With 10,000 views per month on Youtube, monetized with adsense you are at around $30 per month. Done correctly with affiliate links and email subscribers, you are looking at something more in the range of $200 to $500 per month. Get up to 100,000 views a month, which is just more of the same content posting, and we are looking at as much as $500 to $1,000 per month between affiliate links and Youtube adsense.

Here’s how I built my most successful channel ever:

Find a videogame that you like to play – I find PC works better because it is easier to screen record

Commit to 1 video a day for 365 days in a row. 1-4 videos per day, at varying intervals if you really want to do this full time.

Write 200+ words of content for each description.

Use Subscriber Add Ons and End Screens of your next video in all videos

Watch the traffic trickle in.

Build a blog, or blogs and post relevant content that is high quality related to your Youtube videos. Embed the videos into your website content, this gives you organic content traffic and links to your Youtube channel.

Make a Twitter account and Tweet your videos once in awhile, Social Signals are very good for your content rankings at scale.

To really make a success at a gaming channel on Youtube, here is my plan.

1. Post an average of 3 videogame videos per day, keyword optimized, for 5 years straight. This gives you either 5478 or 5481 videos on your channel, depending on which leap years we are accounting for.
2. With how my 100 video Youtube channel is performing currently, my math says that for every 100 videos, you can get between 5000 and 10,000 views per month. Say 7500 views a month on average, this gets you to 55*7500 for a total of 413,000 views per month. One year of that type of content can get you to 7,000,000 views including the backwards trail, which when adding in a subscriber count of around .5% of your total views, would give you around 35,000 subscribers. Subscribers would add another 100,000 views or so per month, so let’s round off and say 500,000 views per month and growing every single day.
3. This would yield you $2500 per month in lifetime income, and if you automate it, the subscriber income that you would get would be enough to actually combat inflation so that income would remain inflation adjusted. $30,000 a year for life is not bad for playing videogames 90 minutes a day for 5 years, nuff said here.

Youtube Content With Your Face In It

Now this is something that I have far less experience with, but I will tell you that it is significantly more powerful when done correctly. People like to watch videos with people in them, plain and simple. If you can speak and write your content has a significantly higher chance of ranking well, assuming everything is keyword optimized. It is very hard to get a channel to the 100,000 or 1,000,000 subscriber marks without having your face in it and speaking, however it can be done. I personally like the gaming model as the best option as it is guaranteed and has the least amount of work, over a 10 year period of time, you can easily make $7500+ or more per month on Youtube. Even if you are 40 years old and you get to those numbers, that’s a lifetime income of $3,000,000.00+ just off of your Youtube channel.
